The firmware versions for the PCD2.M150 are generally upwardly compatible in terms of hardware, so old CPUs can be fitted with new firmware, in order to take advantage of new functions. This feature is highly valued, and we will try to retain it for as long as possible; however, we cannot guarantee this.The firmware for the PCD2.M150 is stored in two Flash EPROMs. With an EPROM burner (e.g. Galep-4), new firmware chips can be burned at any time; updating via download, as with the M170/M480 is not possible.
