Description:NI PXI-8360 Control Module
PXI-8360, 1 Port, 132 MB/s MXI Bandwidth, PXI Remote Control ModuleThe Remote Control Module, PXI-8360 (Part Number: 779501-01), enables the user to control the PXI and CompactPCI frameworks from the user’s PC by utilizing a completely straightforward MXI-Express connection. It is introduced in a PXI frame and uses a PCI Express to PCI extension to build up an interface with a PCI-8360 installed by means of a x1 MXI-Express copper link. The device is compatible with a copper cable, with a maximum length of 7 m. It has a MXI bandwidth of 132 MB per second. The fast cable connector function offered by this model gives the essential signals to interface a NI ExpressCard-8360 and an NI PXI-8360 or NI PXIe-8360. These signals incorporate the PCI Express transmit and receive the framework clock, a reset, and a presence-detect signal. The NI device can be configured using the PXI Platform Services software and the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool. The PXI-8360 MXI-Express x1 Series module offers a MXIbus Slave State Machine. This state machine screens the output of the address decoders and reacts to MXIbus cycles planned for the PXI 8360 NI. Cycles that guide to the Logical Address decoder get to the NI PXI-8360 registers, while cycles that guide to the A24/A32 decoder get to either the PXI-8360 registers or the locally available DRAM SODIMM. The PXI-8360 can acknowledge D32, D16, and D08 (EO) single and RMW MXIbus cycles in A32, A24, and A16 slot. The NI PXI-8360 MXI-Express module can also acknowledge synchronous and piece MXIbus cycles in A32 and A24 slot. The MXIbus slave state machine checks for MXIbus equality blunders. If the module recognizes an equality mistake amid the address period of a cycle, the PXI-8360 disregards the cycle.
