Adapter cards are installed in place of I/O cards.Hinged cover plate is installed. New I/O system can be mounted on the cover to minimize cable lengths and eliminate the need for additional cabinets. Cover is pre-drilled for the Controllogix system.Cables that interface adapter cards, and thus the field wiring, to the new I/O cards are installed. When the new I/O is mounted on the cover the cables are just 2 feet long.
