MVI94GSCE | MVI94-GSC-EC Prosoft Interface Module

The MVI94-GSC-E is a generic serial ASCII network interface module that is manufactured by ProSoft technologies and classified under the Flex I/O 1794 series. This module comes as a single slot interface with 125 read and write command lengths. The MVI94-GSC-E also takes a maximum of 10 characters per block and features the 12 to 24 Volts DC. The MVI94-GSC-E comes with a ladder logic simple operation and a complete setup and monitoring is through debug port and the user configuration port. The MVI94-GSC-E backplane interfaces via an I/O access. The backplane current load for the MVI94-GSC-E is 20 mA at 5 Volts with an external power supply rated as 12 to 24 Volts DC. The operating temperature for the MVI94-GSC-E is 0 to 55 degrees Celsius with a storage temperature of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
The MVI94-GSC-E, stores the configuration in a text file that is called configuration and it is located in the flash memory of the module. Whenever the MVI94-GSC-E starts up, it will read the configuration file and use the information that is stored in there to control how the MVI94-GSC-E protocol shall interact with the applications on the module. When it comes to editing the configuration file, a notepad EXE should be applied. The MVI94-GSC-E, just like the other ProSoft modules comes shipped with a pre-loaded configuration file. The MVI94-GSC-E requires that you have a software so as to be able to send and receive data over the serial communication port on the computer to the module. The communication program is also referred to as a terminal emulator. It is referred to as Hyperterminal and is preinstalled with the recent versions on the windows operating systems.
