RAM.The MVI56-AFC liquid and gas flow computer module from Prosoft Technology and inRAx® with RJ45/ DB-9M with a supplied cable interface and RS-232-only serial communication is a powerful addition to the system that is being controlled. This module, like other devices from MVI56 series, is intended for usage with ControlLogix systems in such a way that it accurately and precisely measures hydrocarbon gases or liquids. The main purpose of the flow computer is to calculate flow rates and to get a full report for total volume, mass, and generated heat energy for the liquids/gases that are being specified. The ControlLogix memory is used to transfer calculated results through the backplane for application ladder programs usage. The MVI56-AFC has a backplane current rating of 800 milliAmps at 5 Volts DC and 3 milliAmps at 24 Volts DC and it has LED indicators for the status of a module, backplane transfer, and applications, and indicator for serial activity. Features of the MVI56-AFC include three Modbus ports that are configurable, Modbus data mapping that can be customized, 16 M runs, meter proving, auditability, and data security.
