IOP card files can be installed at remote locations with the use of fiber optic I/O Link Extenders, as well as locally in the cabinet or cabinet complex containing the HPMM card file(s). A total of 40 primary IOPs, 40 secondary (redundant) IOPs, and 3 I/O Link Extenders (a maximum of 8 I/O Link Extender cards) can exist in a single High-Performance Process Manager subsystem.
